Unqualified Teacher of Design & Technology – Candidate Specification
- A degree in Design & Technology, Product Design, Engineering, or a related subject.
- Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or working with young people is highly desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge with the ability to deliver engaging lessons across Resistant Materials, Graphics, Product Design, or Food Technology.
- A passion for hands-on learning and the ability to demonstrate practical skills in a safe and structured way.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills, with a confident and proactive approach.
- A desire to train as a fully qualified teacher and pursue a long-term career in education.
Unqualified Teacher of Design & Technology – Job Specification
- Full-time, long-term Unqualified Teacher of Design & Technology role in a supportive and high-achieving Design & Technology department.
- Salary: £21,000 - £28,000 per year, dependent on experience and qualifications.
- Teach Design & Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4, delivering both practical and theory-based content.
- Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on projects, helping students develop key technical and creative skills.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Work alongside experienced teachers to refine your own teaching style and develop strong pedagogy.
