Duties:

Join a highly successful and diverse team to drive and develop systems at our world-class manufacturing site in Telford.

Job Purpose

Our client are on a relentless quest for improvement and are looking for a Systems Developer to join their growing team. You will design and implement systems solutions to manage the proliferation of data and enhance process efficiency across the business. Your role will be pivotal in translating business needs into technical specifications and custom-built systems. You will also develop processes and workflows, collaborate with teams to integrate systems, and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, create, and implement systems solutions in response to business needs and strategic direction.
  • Analyse and redesign existing business processes to ensure efficiency.
  • Collaborate with a team to create and enhance technical and systems solutions that guide decision-making within the business.
  • Integrate systems to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all platforms.
  • Maintain and support databases, systems, and platforms.
  • Continuously improve processes and systems to ensure optimisation.
  • Participate in web development solutions.
  • Develop, update, and maintain technical documentation.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties, including specialised reporting.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Proven work experience as a Systems Developer or similar role.
  • Experience with end-to-end process improvements and design.
  • In-depth understanding of relational databases, including Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in programming languages.
  • Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases.
  • Ability to adapt to change and respond to emerging business requirements.
  • Logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Proven initiative and innovation.
  • Knowledge of front-end and back-end web systems.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Ability to interact with stakeholders to identify problems and manage expectations.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science is preferred.
