Job Purpose

Our clients are on a relentless quest for improvement and are looking for a systems developer to join their growing team. You will design and implement system solutions to manage data proliferation and enhance process efficiency across the business. Your role will be pivotal in translating business needs into technical specifications and custom-built systems. You’ll also develop processes and workflows, collaborate with teams to integrate systems, and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, create, and implement system solutions in line with business needs and strategic direction.
  • Analyse and redesign existing business processes for efficiency.
  • Collaborate within a team to enhance technical and system solutions for informed decision-making.
  • Integrate systems to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
  • Maintain and support databases, systems, and platforms.
  • Continuously improve processes and systems for optimisation.
  • Participate in web development solutions.
  • Develop, update, and maintain technical documentation.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties, including specialised reporting.

Candidate Requirements and Skills

Essential:

  • Proven experience as a systems developer or similar role.
  • Experience in end-to-end process improvements and design.
  • In-depth understanding of relational databases, including Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in programming languages.
  • Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases.
  • Ability to adapt to change and respond to emerging business requirements.
  • Logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Initiative and innovation.
  • Knowledge of front and back-end web systems.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science.
