We are seeking an SEN Teacher to join a dynamic and compassionate academy in Coventry. This role offers the chance to work with students who require tailored support to succeed academically and emotionally, making a tangible difference in their lives.

Located on the Coventry/Warwickshire border, the school provides a safe, welcoming space for students with a range of SEN, including ADHD, ASD, and attachment disorders. With newly refurbished facilities, expansive outdoor areas, and a personalised curriculum, the school offers an inclusive and holistic educational experience, focusing on academic achievement, personal growth, and preparing students for the future. The school uses a tailored curriculum and therapeutic support to empower students to achieve their full potential, fostering strong relationships between home, school, and the wider community.

SEN Teacher - About the Role:

As a SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, tailored lessons to students with SEN, with a strong focus on both academic success and emotional well-being. You will work closely within a team to ensure that the curriculum supports each student’s individual learning style. The role will involve teaching core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science, alongside promoting vital life skills. You will incorporate therapeutic approaches to support students with their emotional and social challenges, helping them to thrive both in and outside of the classroom.

SEN Teacher - Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Tailored Lessons: Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEN.
  • Support Emotional Growth: Promote resilience, self-regulation, and the development of essential social skills.
  • Track Progress: Regularly assess both academic progress and personal development, providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with the Team: Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive, inclusive environment.
  • Foster Independence: Encourage students to take ownership of their learning and build independence.

SEN Teacher - Key Requirements:

  • Experience teaching students with SEN, including SEMH, ADHD, ASD, or other related needs.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students in overcoming barriers to learning and personal development.

SEN Teacher - Why Apply?

By joining as an SEN Teacher, you will become part of a school that is wholeheartedly dedicated to each student’s success. You will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact in an environment that values collaboration, where your skills and insights will be appreciated. You’ll help students not only progress academically but also develop the life skills they need for success in education and beyond.
