Science Teacher/Science ECT: Candidate Specification
- A qualified teacher with QTS, or an ECT with experience teaching Science in a classroom environment
- Strong Academic background through GCSE’s and A-Levels
- Possesses strong subject knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, or Biology (or a combination of these)
- Is highly motivated, organised, and adaptable, with a positive approach to challenges
- As a Science Teacher/Science ECT you must have a strong passion for teaching Science and a commitment to inspiring students to reach their potential
Science Teacher/Science ECT: Job Role
As a Science Teacher/Science ECT, you will teach engaging lessons in your specialism, whether Physics, Chemistry, or Biology, to our talented students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Science lessons
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to inspire and challenge students
- Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and support to ensure academic achievement
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Participate in departmental meetings, collaborative planning, and school-wide initiatives
- Engage in continuous professional development to improve teaching practice
