Job Description – Science ECT

Science ECT– What You’ll Be Doing:

• Teaching Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) to a wide range of students from Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5
• Developing engaging, challenging lessons that cater to students’ needs and help them succeed academically
• Supporting students both in class and through one-on-one and small group support
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation
• Collaborating with colleagues to design and implement the curriculum and teaching resources
• Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing feedback and adjusting teaching strategies as needed
• Inspiring students to pursue Science-related careers and helping them develop the necessary skills for success

Science ECT– What We’re Looking For:

• A qualified teacher with QTS, or an ECT with experience teaching STEM subjects in a classroom environment
• A degree in a Science-related field (e.g., Physics, Chemistry and Biology.)
• A passion for teaching and inspiring students in the Science subjects
• Strong subject knowledge in one or more Science disciplines
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and engaging way
• A creative, flexible approach to teaching, with the ability to adapt to different student needs
• A proactive attitude, ready to collaborate with colleagues and grow professionally
