Duties:

Position: Sales Administrator
Location: Runcorn
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 DOE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Administrator to join a well-established and reputable company in Runcorn on a full-time, permanent basis.

Job Duties:

  • Acting as the primary liaison between Sales, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams for all dispatch-related requests.

  • Directing UK dispatch requests to the Warehouse Admin team while keeping the Supply Chain informed.

  • Managing EU and special delivery requests exclusively through the Supply Chain team.

  • Ensuring all required steps and information are completed prior to initiating dispatch requests.

  • Confirming orders are fully allocated or specifying required batches with input from Account Managers.

  • Working with Finance to confirm pre-payments where applicable.

  • Validating the accuracy of delivery dates on sales orders.

  • Providing detailed information for delivery requests, including booking details, carton/pallet label specifications, and any special delivery instructions (e.g., timed deliveries, tail lifts).

  • Seeking Managing Director approval for next-day delivery requests.

  • Accurately processing and raising customer orders in the system, ensuring full compliance with customer requirements.

  • Collaborating with the Sales team to verify specifications, pricing, and promotions.

  • Monitoring order progress through to delivery, proactively identifying and resolving any issues.

  • Maintaining accurate records of orders, invoices, and customer communications.

  • Reconciling purchase orders with invoices and assisting the Finance team as needed.

  • Supporting the Sales team by managing product sample inventory to meet customer and campaign demands.

  • Preparing customised sample packages in collaboration with the Sales team.

  • Coordinating timely sample dispatches, tracking deliveries, and gathering feedback.

  • Maintaining comprehensive records of sample requests and ensuring all sample-related materials are professionally presented.

The Successful Candidate:

  • Experience using SAGE and a good understanding of shipping and logistics processes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.

  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy.
