We are seeking a proactive and experienced Quality/Technical Manager with hands-on experience in the food industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing HACCP and quality systems, along with excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality System Management: Lead and manage the Belton Quality System, including HACCP, ensuring tasks are completed to defined standards.
- HACCP Management: Oversee the Food Safety Manual, supporting documentation, and HACCP meetings.
- Document Control: Manage site documents, including SOPs and cleaning forms, ensuring they meet BRC standards.
- Training Records: Maintain electronic training records and manage third-party training.
- Internal Audits: Deliver the annual internal audit program across two sites.
- Staff Inductions: Handle site inductions for hourly paid staff and maintain training records.
- CCP Training: Manage external CCP training and update electronic training systems.
- Customer Audits: Ensure systems are up-to-date for customer audits.
- Risk Assessments: Maintain TACCP internal risk assessments and annual reviews.
- Horizon Scanning: Keep the business updated with relevant industry developments.
- Site Files: Maintain the Filter and Sieve file, site plan file, and conduct annual reviews.
- Customer Audits: Actively participate in customer audits.
- Team Management: Ensure technical management cover is always available by coordinating with the team.
- Continuous Improvement: Set targets and control mechanisms for continuous improvement.
- Communication: Provide timely and accurate information as needed.
- Decision Making: Consider cost, profit, and business environment in decisions.
- Relationship Management: Maintain effective working relationships by keeping relevant people informed.
- Capability Building: Encourage self-development among employees.
- Problem Solving: Resolve issues and deliver solutions effectively.
- Task Management: Prioritize, schedule, and allocate tasks efficiently.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure daily tasks meet agreed standards and timetables.
- Deputization: Step in for the Technical Manager or Quality Support Manager when needed.
- Representation: Represent the business at off-site meetings, audits, and shows as necessary.
