Job Description – Maths Teacher / Maths ECT

Maths Teacher / Maths ECT – What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Teaching Maths to students across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5.
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that build students’ problem solving and theoretical knowledge.
  • Encouraging a love for Maths through dynamic and creative lesson plans.
  • Supporting students of varying abilities, from interventions to stretching the most able.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress, offering feedback and adjusting teaching methods where needed.
  • Creating an inclusive classroom environment that fosters discussion, creativity, and confidence.
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure the curriculum is engaging and effective.
  • Inspiring students to achieve their potential and pursue further studies or careers in Maths and related fields.

Maths Teacher / Maths ECT – What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS, or an ECT with experience teaching Maths in a classroom environment.
  • A degree in Maths or a related field.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring students to develop a love for problem solving.
  • Strong knowledge of Mathematics, with the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and engage students.
  • A creative and adaptable approach to teaching, with the ability to differentiate for students of all abilities.
  • A proactive attitude, eager to collaborate with colleagues and develop professionally.
