Maths ECT – What You’ll Be Doing:
- Teaching Maths to students across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Fostering a love for Maths through dynamic, student-centred lessons
- Supporting students with a range of abilities, from interventions to stretching the most able
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing feedback, and adapting teaching strategies as needed
- Creating an inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, collaboration, and confidence
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and engaging curriculum
- Inspiring students to pursue further studies or careers in Maths and related fields
Maths ECT – What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified teacher with QTS, or an ECT with experience teaching Maths in a classroom environment
- A degree in Maths, or a related field
- A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring students to embrace Maths
- Strong subject knowledge with the ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to make complex concepts clear and accessible
- A creative and adaptable approach to teaching, with the ability to cater to diverse student needs
- A proactive attitude, eager to collaborate with colleagues and continue developing professionally
