Job Description – Maths ECT
- Permanent full-time Maths ECT role with a September Start

Maths ECT – What You’ll Be Doing:
- Teaching Maths to students across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that build students’ problem solving and theoretical knowledge.
- Encouraging a love for Maths through dynamic and creative lesson plans
- Supporting students of varying abilities, from interventions to stretching the most able
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, offering feedback and adjusting teaching methods where needed
- Creating an inclusive classroom environment that fosters discussion, creativity, and confidence
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure the curriculum is engaging and effective
- Inspiring students to achieve their potential and pursue further studies or careers in Maths and related fields
Maths ECT – What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified teacher with QTS, or an ECT with experience teaching English in a classroom environment
- A degree in Maths or a related field
- A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring students to develop a love for problem solving
- Strong knowledge of Mathematics, with the ability to deliver engaging lessons
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and engage students
- A creative and adaptable approach to teaching, with the ability to differentiate for students of all abilities
- A proactive attitude, eager to collaborate with colleagues and develop professionally
