Learning Support assistant – psychology graduate needed

• Full time learning support assistant role – mainstream primary school
• ASAP start – interviewing now
• Year 3 class supporting 3 learners with non-acute needs
• Earn £500 to £540 per week
• Mon – Fri 8.40am to 3.40pm

This lovely primary school in Hackney Wick, London is looking for a learning support assistant to support a class teacher in a year 3 class from ASAP.

The learning support assistant role will be to aid a class teacher in the delivery of an exciting curriculum. Within this Year 2 class there are 3 learners with EHCP - none have acute needs nor funding for full time 1-2-1 support.

As a learning support assistant, you will learn to manoeuvre around the classroom and pick up the needs of each child as required.

One learner has made massive progress during this academic year, Speech and language needs. This learner receives a visit every 3-4 weeks from the borough coordinator for speech and language and your implementation and communication of development will be vital.

Due to the needs of the learners and the job description, the schools need an able academic candidate who is a clear communicator and diligent individual.

The school is a diverse and celebrated place of learning and development. The catchment area for this school has changed significantly with the gentrification of the catchment.
