IT Support Engineer

Overview:

We are looking for an IT/Tech Specialist to support and manage the technical aspect of a new contract for our client based in Crewe. This role will focus on installing and setting up Electronic Shelf Labels and Digital Screens, as well as managing the AIMs software and content system for the digital screens.

Key Responsibilities:

Level 1 - Customer Support - Upto £28,000 per annum 

• Act as the main point of contact for basic customer issues and solve simple problems quickly.
• Troubleshoot issues with Handheld Terminals (HHT).
• Check ESL connections and gateway power.
• Reboot and manage ESL labels, including assigning and deleting them.

Level 2 - Advanced Support - Upto £35,000 per annum 

• Solve more complex problems with data, templates, and system configurations.
• Categorize issues based on urgency: Urgent, High, Normal, Low.
• Set up customer sites and store configurations.
• Manage user accounts and passwords for the store system.
• Deploy and configure HHT software.
• Work with data file specifications and system integrations.
• Design and configure label templates.
• Set up and configure gateways, including IP addresses and firewall settings.
• Add and manage ESLs.
• Create tickets for issue tracking.
• Support the overall solution (SaaS, Gateways, ESLs).
• Perform site surveys to ensure proper gateway placement.

Skills & Experience:

• Strong IT skills, including experience with networking and APIs.
• Familiarity with ESL and HHT systems.
• Experience with configuring and troubleshooting gateway systems.
• Ability to solve technical issues and handle urgent problems.
• Knowledge of user account management and site configurations.
