Duties:
HR & Training Manager
Main Purpose
To provide a strategic, professional HR service that fosters a positive work environment and ensure compliance with HR legislation and best practices across both Manufacturing and Services Factory's.
HR
- Overseeing the recruitment, selection and the onboarding process
- Conducting right to work checks
- Ensure policies and practices are compliant with all current HR legislation and industry standards
- Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation
- Deal with staff issues regarding performance or at tendance in a legally compliant and professional way
- Handling any disciplinary or formal grievances in a professional and fair manner
- Provide advice and support to the management team with regard to staff issues
- Working with the Head of HR and any external agency to design and deliver the annual employee engagement survey
- Assisting with the communication thoughout the organisation
- Conduct occupational health referrals and providing pastoral support and advice to employees
- Ensure consistent and compliant documentation for audits and HR reports
- Conducting twice yearly audits of recruitment agencies on our preferred supplier list
- Enrolling all staff on all employee benefit schemes offered by the company
- Ensuring that all training information is up to date and accessible electronically
- Preparing and presenting documentation at customers and supplier audits
- Assist in writing HR documents such as job descriptions when require
- Filing personnel information in a GDPR compliant manner
Management/Research
- Keep up to date with supplier and customer training requirements
- Reporting to the Executive Committee with regard to training
- Provide day to day advice to line managers on all HR issues
- Provide strategic insights to improve HR practices and develop succession planning
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of the key principles of employment law and codes of practice
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent
- Excellent training design and delivery skills
- Excellent communication skills
- An ethical approch to all matters
