History ECT – What You’ll Be Doing:
- Teaching History to students across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, historical inquiry, and analysis
- Fostering a love for History through creative and thought-provoking lessons
- Supporting students of varying abilities, from interventions to challenging the most able
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting lessons as needed
- Creating an inclusive classroom environment where discussion, debate, and reflection thrive
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop a stimulating and engaging curriculum
- Inspiring students to pursue further studies or careers in History and related fields
History ECT – What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified teacher with QTS, or an ECT with experience teaching History in a classroom environment
- A degree in History, or a related field
- A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring students to explore and understand history
- Strong subject knowledge with the ability to create engaging and informative lessons
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to make historical events and ideas accessible and relevant to students
- A creative and adaptable approach to teaching, with the ability to cater to a diverse range of student abilities
- A proactive attitude, eager to collaborate with colleagues and develop professionally
