The Opportunity: Graduate Unqualified Teacher
We’re partnering with outstanding secondary schools in Newcastle and Sunderland to find dynamic graduates (in core subjects like Maths, English, Science, Humanities, MFL, or Computing) who are eager to become Unqualified Teachers.
This is a fantastic chance to immerse yourself in a thriving educational environment, where you’ll gain hands-on teaching experience and be mentored by experienced educators. You’ll be part of a high-achieving team and play a key role in inspiring students, while being fully supported in your development.
Our schools are looking for graduates to either start immediately or from September 2025. If you have recently completed your degree and graduate this year, then you would be eligible for this opportunity as well as graduates from recent years!
What You’ll Do: Graduate Unqualified Teacher
- Teach lessons in your specialist subject, with guidance from experienced teachers.
- Plan, mark, and assess students' work, contributing to their academic success.
- Engage students, creating a stimulating and inspiring learning environment.
- Work alongside department heads and mentors to gain valuable insight into the profession.
- Develop key skills in classroom management, lesson planning, and teaching strategies.
Who We’re Looking For: Graduate Unqualified Teacher
- A 2:1 degree or higher in a core subject from a reputable university.
- A genuine passion for teaching and a strong desire to pursue a career in education.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a classroom.
- A commitment to helping students thrive and succeed.
- Prior experience with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, or coaching) is a plus but not essential.
