Key Responsibilities: Graduate Teaching Assistant Religious Studies/Philosophy
- Assist the Religious Studies/Philosophy department in delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Provide academic support to students through one-on-one tutoring, group work, and tailored interventions.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and prepare high-quality lesson plans, resources, and assessments.
- Support teachers in maintaining a positive, well-disciplined learning environment.
- Track and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and helping students achieve their full potential.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, including academic clubs and enrichment programs, to foster a broader interest in RS/Philosophy.
- Offer pastoral care and act as a positive role model for students across all year groups.
The Ideal Candidate Will: Graduate Teaching Assistant Religious Studies/Philosophy
- Hold a 1st class or 2:1 degree in Religious Studies, Philosophy, or a closely related field from a reputable university.
- Be passionate about education, with a genuine desire to inspire young minds.
- Have strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
- Be well-organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Demonstrate a commitment to upholding the school’s outstanding reputation and ethos of academic excellence.
