Graduate Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing academic support to students across a range of subjects, including English, Maths, Science, and Humanities
  • Assisting with lesson planning, delivery, and classroom activities
  • Supporting students with their exam preparation and coursework
  • Leading small group or 1:1 sessions to provide tailored support for students who need extra help
  • Encouraging students’ development in critical thinking, problem-solving, and academic writing
  • Helping students build their confidence and resilience in approaching challenging topics
  • Promoting engagement and participation in classroom discussions and activities
  • Assisting with behaviour management and helping to maintain a positive classroom environment
  • Collaborating with teachers and staff to ensure that students are reaching their full potential

Graduate Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

  • A 2:1 degree or higher in any academic field (education-related degrees are a plus)
  • A genuine passion for working with secondary school students and helping them succeed academically
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and motivate students
  • Previous experience working with secondary school students is desirable, but not essential
  • Patience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting students’ needs
  • A keen interest in pursuing a career in teaching or educational support
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
