Graduate Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing academic support to students across a range of subjects, including English, Maths, Science, and Humanities
- Assisting with lesson planning, delivery, and classroom activities
- Supporting students with their exam preparation and coursework
- Leading small group or 1:1 sessions to provide tailored support for students who need extra help
- Encouraging students’ development in critical thinking, problem-solving, and academic writing
- Helping students build their confidence and resilience in approaching challenging topics
- Promoting engagement and participation in classroom discussions and activities
- Assisting with behaviour management and helping to maintain a positive classroom environment
- Collaborating with teachers and staff to ensure that students are reaching their full potential
Graduate Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:
- A 2:1 degree or higher in any academic field (education-related degrees are a plus)
- A genuine passion for working with secondary school students and helping them succeed academically
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and motivate students
- Previous experience working with secondary school students is desirable, but not essential
- Patience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting students’ needs
- A keen interest in pursuing a career in teaching or educational support
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
