Graduate Teaching Assistant – Primary

Are you a recent graduate with a 2:1 or higher degree from a top 30 University?

We are currently looking for dedicated Graduate Teaching assistant to work with a delightful close-knit primary school located in Nottingham City Centre. This role offers our graduates with hands on experience within primary education, while helping young children grow within a warm healthy school Environment. The school itself is an, ‘outstanding’ very well established primary school with the City Centre of Nottingham containing around 245 students, with great facilities for both children and staff from, a chicken coop to help teach children different life skills to great playground facilities to create the best possible school environment.

About this role – Graduate Teaching Assistant

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll provide on-to-one and small group support to students helping them grow academically and personally. You will work alongside caring teachers helping them provide tailored support to children across different year groups. You’ll assist in the delivery of lessons and fun classroom activities and creating vibrant classroom displays and foster a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities - Graduate Teaching Assistant

  • Support classroom activities – Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and ensuring that learning objectives are met.
  • Individual and group support – provide one-to-one or small group support to children, particularly those who require additional learning assistant
  • Encourage and engagement – Support children in their academic and social development, helping them stay motivated and engaged in their learning.
  • Prepare classroom materials – Assist with the preparation and organization of learning materials, activities and classroom displays.
