Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting students in STEM subjects, including Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
  • Assisting teachers in preparing and delivering lessons, experiments, and activities in STEM subjects
  • Providing 1:1 or small group support to help students grasp complex STEM concepts and theories
  • Encouraging students’ active participation in classroom discussions, projects, and experiments
  • Helping students develop practical skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork
  • Supporting students in completing assignments, projects, and assessments
  • Collaborating with teachers to monitor student progress and adjust learning strategies to suit individual needs
  • Fostering a love for STEM subjects and motivating students to explore these fields further

Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

  • A 2:1 degree or higher in a STEM-related field (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
  • A genuine passion for STEM and a desire to help students succeed in these subjects
  • Strong subject knowledge in one or more areas of STEM
  • Previous experience in an educational setting is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly and engage students effectively
  • Patience, creativity, and flexibility to meet the needs of students with varying abilities
  • A proactive attitude and enthusiasm for helping students succeed in their learning
  • An interest in pursuing a career in education, teaching, or STEM-related fields
