Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant

Are you a recent graduate in a STEM field with a 2:1 or higher, eager to kick-start your career in education?

We are seeking a talented and motivated Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding secondary school in Coventry. In this Graduate STEM Teaching Assistants role, you’ll support students of all abilities in their learning journey, particularly in STEM subjects, and help them achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities of a Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths)
  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery, classroom management, and student assessments
  • Foster a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Help simplify complex STEM topics to make them more accessible for students
  • Support students in developing their skills and passion for STEM

Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant Key Skills:

  • Recent STEM graduates with a 2:1 or above degree
  • Strong technical understanding in one or more STEM disciplines
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain challenging topics clearly
  • Some experience working with young people is beneficial, but not essential
  • Passion for education and helping students succeed
