Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – The Role
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Full-time, long-term Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role paying up to £600 per week.
- Work closely with students with SEN, including those with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support, helping students stay engaged in lessons.
- Use behaviour management strategies to support students’ emotional well-being and academic progress.
- Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to implement individual learning plans (ILPs) and provide targeted interventions.
Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – About Yourself!
We are looking for compassionate, patient, and dedicated graduates who:
- Have a 2:1 degree or above in any subject (Psychology, Education, or related fields are desirable).
- Are passionate about supporting young people with additional needs.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students.
- Can remain calm, resilient, and adaptable in a busy school environment.
- Have experience working with children or young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, coaching, volunteering, or youth work).
