Specialist SEN School – Brent, London – Up to £650 per week

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – The Role:

  • Full-time, long-term position – perfect for building experience before teacher training or further study

  • Up to £650 per week, depending on experience

  • Work with students on a 1:1 and small group basis, supporting their learning, communication, and emotional development

  • Assist with personalised learning programmes and therapeutic activities tailored to each pupil’s needs

  • Implement effective behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies

  • Collaborate with a team of teachers, therapists, and SEN professionals in a highly supportive setting

  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Candidate Profile:

We’re looking for graduates who are:

  • Educated to degree level with a 2:1 or above in any subject (Psychology, Education, or related fields are advantageous)

  • Passionate about working with children and young people with additional needs

  • Emotionally resilient, patient, and adaptable to the varied challenges of a specialist school environment

  • Confident communicators who can build trusting relationships with students and staff

  • Experienced in working with children or young people in any capacity – such as mentoring, tutoring, coaching, volunteering, or care work (preferred but not essential)
