Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – The Role
- Up to £520 per week
- Long-term, Full-time Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant Role
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for children with SEN.
- Assist in delivering individualised learning strategies to meet the needs of each pupil.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists such as speech and language therapists.
- Support children with social skills, communication, and emotional regulation.
- Help create an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment where every child can thrive.
- Develop skills that can take you into Educational Psychology, Speech & Language
Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Candidate Requirements
- A 2:1 or higher degree in Psychology, Education, or a related subject.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
- Previous experience working with children with SEN (such as volunteering, tutoring, or mentoring) is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff and parents.
