We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Birmingham. As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students, supporting them in their learning and development in both one-to-one and group settings.

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting students with SEN in the classroom, both in small group settings and on a one-to-one basis
- Assisting students with personal care, learning, and social development
- Working alongside teachers to adapt lessons and learning activities to meet students’ individual needs
- Encouraging students to achieve their best, boosting their confidence and self-esteem
- Helping students with their homework, projects, and revision in a tailored manner
- Promoting an inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and understood
- Supporting students with social and emotional development, ensuring a safe and nurturing space
Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:
- A 2:1 degree or higher (preferably in a relevant subject such as Psychology, Education, or Special Educational Needs)
- A genuine passion for supporting students with SEN and a desire to make a difference
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with students and colleagues
- Previous experience working with young people or in SEN settings is beneficial, but not essential
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude towards supporting students
- A commitment to providing the best possible educational experience for students with SEN
