Key requirements: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant…
- 2.1 degree or higher in a relevant subject (e.g. Psychology, Education, Sociology or similar)
- Some prior experience supporting students with SEN, ideally in an education setting
- Passion for working with children and a genuine desire to support those with SEN
- Patience, empathy, and a calm, positive approach to interacting with and supporting students
- Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt your approach to meet individual needs
- Eagerness to pursue a career in education, particularly in SEN, and a commitment to professional development
- A proactive attitude and a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of students
As Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will work closely with students with a range of SEN, including ASD, learning difficulties and behavioural challenges. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping these students access the curriculum and develop their social, emotional and academic skills.
