Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – One-to-One Support – Up to £550 per week – Immediate Start

Location: Specialist Academy, Warwickshire

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Offer one-on-one support to a child with autism or emotional/mental health needs, assisting in overcoming challenges.
  • Help to implement individualised learning plans (ILPs), focusing on both academic and personal progress.
  • Assist with classroom tasks, ensuring the student engages with the curriculum in a way that works for them.
  • Foster a nurturing, supportive environment that promotes emotional, social, and academic growth.
  • Help the student develop life skills such as communication, time management, and emotional regulation.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and professionals to ensure the child's needs are met and progress is tracked.
  • Implement positive behaviour strategies and assist with behavioural management to encourage emotional wellbeing.
  • Support the student during off-site activities and access to therapies, ensuring a holistic approach to their education.

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

  • A 2:1 degree or higher in any subject, with a passion for special educational needs.
  • Experience working with children with SEN is essential.
  • Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to meet the individual needs of the student.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build a positive rapport with a child who requires personalised support.
  • A proactive attitude and a genuine desire to make a lasting impact on the child's educational journey.
