About the School:

A large, well-established Secondary School in Central Leeds with a dedicated inclusion team is looking to appoint a diligent and motivated Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team starting in February 2025.

  • Full-time, long-term role with immediate start (February 2025)

About You: We are looking for a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant who:

  • Holds a 2:1 or First-Class degree in Psychology or related subject from a Top university
  • Has a genuine passion for special education and supporting vulnerable learners
  • Demonstrates strong emotional intelligence and adaptability in various situations
  • Is patient, empathetic, and proactive in supporting student needs
  • Can work collaboratively within a specialist education team
  • Is interested in pursuing a career in SEN teaching or educational psychology

Key Responsibilities: As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students with various special educational needs, including ASD and ADHD, in both one-to-one and small group settings
  • Work collaboratively with specialist SEN teachers to deliver engaging lessons and support
  • Develop strong relationships with students and help them overcome barriers to learning
  • Liaise with external organizations to ensure comprehensive student support
  • Contribute to individual education plans and progress monitoring
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
