Contract: Contract

Hours: 8:30AM-4:00PM Mon-Friday

If you answered yes, we have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant located in the heart of Lewisham.

They are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to work alongside experienced teachers in providing tailored support to students with SEN.

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant: Candidate specification

  • Graduated with a 2:1 or higher in Psychology, Health and Social care and sociology (or related field)
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for working with students with additional needs
  • Have the ability to adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Has previously worked with children before through mentoring or tutoring (desirable but not essential)

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant: Job specification

  • Provide targeted one-to-one and small group interventions to help students overcome barriers of learning
  • Assist with implementing individual educational plans and deliver tailored lessons to meet diverse student’s needs
  • Foster a positive an inclusive nurturing environment where every child feels valued
  • Work closely with teacher and parents to ensure the best outcome for each student
