Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Person Specification
- MUST have a recent 2:1 degree or higher – Any subject area will be considered
- Endearing, personable individual who has a joy for working with young people
- Previous relevant experience is desired but not essential
Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Job Specification
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will…
- Work to develop a strong relationship with the children you work with
- Focus your attention on SEN students who are struggling with ASD and ADHD
- Delightful class – Year 4 in a very small and community-based school
- Liaise with outside organisations to ensure students are receiving the utmost care
- Perfect experience for aspiring SEN teachers or education psychologists
- Work 1-to-1 and in small group settings
- Clear progression: In-house teacher training available September 2025
Earn £500-£540 per week – Wimbledon, Merton – Full-time, long-term, Monday-Friday
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate closely with teachers to foster individualised learning support tailored to each student. The school offers a carefully designed, personalised curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students requiring additional assistance in one-to-one and small group settings. Your primary responsibility will be to create a supportive environment that promotes positive educational experiences for these students.
