This fantastic SEN school in Whyteleafe, Surrey is looking for a passionate and empathetic individual to join their team as a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, where you will work closely with students with a range of learning and communication needs.

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Role Description

  • Mon-Fri, 8:30am-4:00pm
  • Earn up to £540 per week
  • Immediate interviews available
  • Work within the school's SEN provision, supporting students with communication, learning, and emotional needs
  • Provide targeted support for students with cognitive, behavioural, emotional, social, or sensory challenges
  • Plan and deliver interventions to help monitor and support academic and pastoral progress
  • Receive training to gain a deeper understanding of the strategies used to support children with SEN
  • Liaise with educational psychologists, Speech & Language Therapists, and external professionals to contribute to student development
  • Make a real impact by helping students reach key academic and personal milestones

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Person Specification

  • Must be a graduate with a 2:1 degree or higher
  • Previous experience working with young people, either academically or pastorally, is preferred
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs
  • Desire to learn and develop professionally in a school environment
  • Empathetic and compassionate individual with a desire to build strong relationships with students
