Graduate Science Teaching Assistant – The Role

• Long-term, full-time Graduate Science Teaching Assistant role – earn up to £520 per week
• Support students in KS3 and KS4 Science lessons, helping them grasp complex scientific concepts as a Graduate Science Teaching Assistant.
• Provide 1:1 and small group intervention to students who need extra support in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
• Assist in preparing practical demonstrations and experiments, bringing Science to life in an engaging way.
• Work closely with teachers to develop learning materials and resources.
• Inspire and motivate students to aim for top grades and consider STEM careers.
• Develop your own teaching style and classroom management skills in preparation for a future in teaching as a Graduate Science Teaching Assistant.

Graduate Science Teaching Assistant – Candidate Requirements

• A 2:1 or above degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or a related STEM subject.
• A passion for education and supporting young people in their learning.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage students in scientific learning.
• Previous experience working with young people (tutoring, mentoring, teaching assistant work, etc.) is highly desirable.
