About You – Graduate Russell Group Teaching Assistant:

We’re looking for a Graduate Russell Group Teaching Assistant who:

  • Holds a degree (minimum 2:1) from a Russell Group University.
  • Graduates from a variety of academic disciplines are welcome to apply.
  • Is passionate about education and eager to work with young people.
  • Aims to be a role model, encouraging students to follow a similar academic path.
  • May have previous experience in tutoring or working with young people (desirable, but not essential).
  • Is considering a career in teaching, such as pursuing a PGCE, School Direct, or Teach First.

The Role:

  • Earn up to £560 per week in a full-time, long-term position.
  • Start ASAP and gain immediate, hands-on classroom experience.
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group academic support to students.
  • Assist in preparing engaging lesson materials and resources.
  • Help create and maintain a positive classroom environment to boost student engagement.
  • Work sociable hours between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Take part in teacher training opportunities from September 2025, including Teach First and the evidence-only route to teacher training.

As a Graduate Russell Group Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with both teachers and students. You’ll support students in the classroom and work with them one-on-one or in small groups, helping them unlock their full potential. Your contributions will help students, especially those who are academically gifted, foster a deeper interest in learning and encourage them to pursue higher education.
