Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – Up to £520 per week – Immediate Start

Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Work on individualised learning plans (ILPs), focusing on both emotional well-being and academic progress.
  • Assist in classroom tasks, ensuring the student engages with the curriculum in a way that suits their learning style and psychological needs.
  • Foster a positive and supportive environment, using your knowledge of psychology to help the student manage emotions and improve social interactions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create a holistic approach to the child’s education and emotional development.
  • Implement strategies for emotional regulation, assisting the student in building resilience and developing key life skills.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback, tracking the student’s academic and psychological growth.

Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

  • A 2:1 degree or higher in Psychology, Education, or a related subject.
  • Experience working with children with psychological, emotional, or behavioural needs (experience in an educational setting is a plus).
  • A strong interest in psychology and a passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Empathy, patience, and a flexible approach to meet the individual needs of the student.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build a positive, supportive relationship with the student.
  • A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to help a child succeed both academically and emotionally.
  • Ambition to pursue a career in educational psychology or a related field.
