Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant, your role will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to students, helping them with classwork and building skills in literacy, numeracy, and other subjects
- Assisting with lesson planning and delivery, ensuring all students are engaged and able to access the curriculum
- Supporting students with study skills, note-taking, and revision techniques to boost academic performance
- Helping to manage classroom behaviour, creating a positive and focused learning environment
- Working closely with the class teacher to support students’ social and emotional development
- Assisting in the preparation for assessments and helping students gain confidence in their learning
- Supporting students with additional learning needs, working alongside the SEN team
- Encouraging a love of learning and motivating students to engage fully in their education
Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:
- A 2:1 degree or higher in any subject
- A genuine passion for education and a desire to help students succeed
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with young learners
- Previous experience in tutoring or educational support is desirable, but not essential
- Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to supporting individual students’ needs
- A proactive attitude, with a strong desire to make a positive impact on students’ lives
- An interest in pursuing a career in education
