Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant - What You’ll Be Doing:

  • As a Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant, you’ll provide 1:1 and small group support to students, helping them grasp key mathematical concepts.
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery, ensuring all students are engaged and able to access the curriculum.
  • Help students overcome challenges and deepen their understanding of mathematical topics such as algebra, geometry, and calculus through personalised support.
  • Develop students' problem-solving, logical reasoning, and numerical skills essential for success in Maths.
  • Monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and teachers to help improve academic outcomes.
  • Assist with exam preparation, supporting students in developing effective revision techniques and boosting their confidence.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and focused learning environment by assisting with classroom management.
  • Encourage a love for Maths, helping students to appreciate the subject and its real-world applications.

Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant - What We’re Looking For:

  • A 2:1 degree or higher in a Maths-related subject
  • A genuine passion for Maths and a desire to help students develop an interest in the subject
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Previous experience in tutoring or educational support is an advantage but not essential
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different learning needs
  • A proactive and motivated attitude with a strong desire to help students succeed
  • An interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education
