Salary: £500-£540 per week

Location: Lewisham, Deptford, SE8

Contract: Contract

Start date: Immediate or September 2025

Hours: 8:30AM-4:00PM Mon-Friday

This secondary school located in the warm and welcoming Lewisham is looking for a dedicated and result-drive Graduate Maths Classroom Assistant to join them ASAP or in September to help their students develop a deep understanding and appreciation for maths.

Graduate Maths Classroom Assistant: Candidate Specification

-          Has Graduated or Graduating this September with a 2:1 from a top leading university in a Maths related subject 

-          Experience working with students, whether through tutoring, mentoring, or previous teaching assistant roles (desirable but not essential)

-          Excellent performance in GCSE’S and A-Levels, particular in Maths

-          Good communication skills with the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly to students of varying abilities

Graduate Maths Classroom Assistant: Job Specification

-          Assist the classroom teacher with the delivery of engaging Maths lessons

-          Support students on a 1-1 basis or in small groups to reinforce understanding of mathematical concepts.

-          Provide feedback to students on their progress and areas for improvements

-          Foster a growth mindset in students, encouraging persistence and confidence in solving mathematical problems
