About the School:

This multi- academy trust in Wakefield seeking a dedicated Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their inclusive secondary school in Wakefield. Working closely alongside the teaching team, you'll support students with varying learning needs, helping create an environment where every student can achieve their potential.

Graduate Learning Support Assistant

Role Overview:

Graduate Learning Support Assistant

 Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a 2:1 or First-Class degree in Psychology (or a closely related subject) from Top University
  • A passion for working with children, particularly those with SEN.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to helping students overcome barriers to learning.
  • You should demonstrate strong emotional intelligence and the ability to read and respond appropriately to different situations and personalities in a classroom environment.

As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you’ll collaborate with experienced teachers, gaining valuable classroom experience and providing support to students who need extra help. This role allows you to develop key skills and knowledge, offering hands-on involvement in diverse educational settings. It’s an excellent opportunity for those interested in pursuing careers in teaching, educational psychology, or specialist education roles.
