An exceptional primary school in the heart of Huddersfield is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This role offers the perfect opportunity for those looking to gain practical experience while working alongside experienced professionals and supporting a diverse group of students.

About the Graduate Learning Support Assistant Role:

  • Full-time, long-term position for the rest of the academic year and beyond
  • Competitive salary of up to £520 per week

  • Provide 1-2-1 and small group support to students, helping them overcome academic and personal challenges
  • Collaborate with in-house educational psychologists, speech & language therapists, and external professionals to support student case studies
  • Enjoy sociable working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm

About You: The ideal candidate for this Graduate Learning Support Assistant role:

  • Holds a 2:1 or First-Class degree in Psychology (or a closely related subject) from a reputable university
  • Has a strong passion for working with children, particularly those with SEN
  • Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to overcoming learning barriers
  • Has strong emotional intelligence and can respond appropriately to varying situations and personalities in the classroom

In this role, you’ll have the chance to work closely with students, providing support within the SEN program and helping them achieve success. The school fosters an inclusive and supportive environment where every child is valued, and the successful candidate will share these values.
