A well-established primary school in Liverpool is looking for a dedicated Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis starting in January 2025.

Graduate Learning Support Assistant

  • Monday-Friday during term time for the remainder of the academic year
  • Up to £490 per week
  • ‘Outstanding’ primary school located in north Liverpool
  • Psychology, Education, and core subject graduates with a minimum 2:1 degree encouraged to apply

About the Role
As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting students with special educational needs. You’ll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with students by working 1-to-1 and in small groups to support their learning. You’ll also help create engaging learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom, including organising sports activities and school outings.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with other learning support assistants to identify students’ needs
  • Using interactive tools, like computers, to engage students in learning
  • Working alongside teachers to ensure activities align with the national curriculum
  • Supporting students' social and emotional needs
  • Observing and reporting any changes in behaviour to the teaching staff
  • Communicating with students and other professionals, such as educational psychologists, to ensure the best outcomes for each child

Ideal Candidate:
