Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting students with diverse learning needs, including SEN and behavioural challenges
  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and accessible humanities lessons to all students
  • Providing one-to-one or small group support to help students understand key concepts and succeed academically
  • Encouraging the development of social, emotional, and interpersonal skills to help students engage fully in school life
  • Helping implement individual learning plans in collaboration with teachers and SENCO
  • Assisting with behaviour management to promote a positive and productive learning environment
  • Using your humanities expertise to enhance students’ understanding of history, literature, and other key subjects
  • Promoting inclusivity, ensuring that all students feel supported and valued

Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

  • A 2:1 degree or higher in Humanities or a related field
  • Passion for teaching and supporting students with diverse educational needs
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas in an accessible way
  • Patience, empathy, and flexibility to adapt to the individual needs of each student
  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is an advantage, but not essential
  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to contribute positively to the students' development
  • Interest in pursuing a career in education, teaching, or SEN support
