Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant – Birmingham – Immediate Start

A well-established secondary school in Birmingham is looking for a Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. In this Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant role, you will assist the teaching staff in supporting students across a range of humanities subjects, providing one-to-one and small group support to help them engage with and excel in their studies. You will help students strengthen their understanding of key concepts, develop critical thinking skills, and build their confidence.

Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant – Key Requirements:

  • A 2:1 degree or higher in a relevant subject (e.g., History, Geography, Sociology, Politics, or similar)
  • A genuine passion for the humanities and a desire to help students succeed in these subjects
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting students’ learning
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt your approach to meet individual needs
  • Eagerness to pursue a career in education, particularly in secondary school teaching
  • A proactive attitude and a strong desire to make a positive impact on students' academic journeys
