This School in Central Leeds, with a young and passionate headteacher, is looking for a graduate geography teaching assistant with the option to work as cover supervisor. Having obtained a ‘Good’ rating at ‘Ofsted’ this school on the journey towards ‘Outstanding’ – you could be a key part of this journey as a Graduate Geography Teaching Assistant. The Headteacher is looking for recent graduates to help inspire the next generation of geographers!   

About the Graduate geography teaching assistant role:

As a Graduate Geography Teaching Assistant, you will:

 Support teaching staff in delivering high-quality Geography lessons:

• Earn up to £520 per week
• Long-term, full time graduate geography teaching assistant role
• Work closely with students, providing one-on-one and small-group academic support
• Potential to be developed into a Cover Supervisor, gaining experience in the classroom
• Assist in preparing lesson materials and resources
• Immediate start (January 2025)
• Salaried Teacher training opportunities from September 2025
• Help manage classroom activities, fostering a positive learning environment
• Contribute to raising student engagement and attainment in Geography
• Sociable working hours between 8:00am and 4:00pm, Monday - Friday

About You:

We're looking for a Graduate Geography Teaching Assistant who:

• Holds a 2:1 or First-Class degree in Geography (or a closely related subject) from a Top 30 university
• Has a strong academic background and a passion for Geography
• Is eager to inspire and motivate students to excel in their studies
• Is committed, reliable, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Is contemplating teaching in the future
