About This Role
In the role of Graduate Geography Teaching Assistant, you will assist the geography department in delivering engaging lessons and provide support to students of varying abilities. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with lesson planning and preparation to ensure an engaging geography curriculum.
- Supporting students in understanding geographical concepts such as climate change, urbanisation, and ecosystems.
- Conducting small group sessions or one-on-one interventions to help students with exam preparation and coursework.

- Encouraging a passion for geography by supporting extracurricular activities such as geography clubs or trips.
As a Graduate Geography Teaching Assistant, you’ll be instrumental in helping students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills while building your own experience in a classroom setting.
Key Requirements:
- A recent degree in Geography or a related field (Russell Group graduates preferred).
- A strong interest in education and a passion for geography.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with students and staff.
- Previous experience working with young people or in an educational setting is advantageous but not essential.
