A fantastic secondary school near central Leeds is looking to hire a Graduate English Teaching Assistant for a long-term role starting in February 2025. This position will run throughout the academic year, providing a great opportunity to build your skills in education.

As a Graduate English Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support teaching staff in delivering dynamic English Literature and Language lessons.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group support to help students reach their full potential.
• Assist in preparing lesson materials and resources.
• Work with students aged 11-16, including those preparing for GCSEs, to foster a love for English.
• Help manage classroom activities and contribute to creating a positive learning environment.
• Play an active role in boosting student engagement and attainment in English.
• Enjoy sociable working hours from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

About You:

We’re looking for a Graduate English Teaching Assistant who:

• Holds a 2:1 or First-Class degree in English Literature, English Language, or a related subject from a reputable university.
• Is passionate about literature and eager to inspire young minds.
• Is reliable, dedicated, and a strong team player.
• Is considering a career in education and eager to develop their teaching skills.
• Previous experience in education is preferred but not essential.
