  • Graduate English Teaching Assistant
  • Full-time, long term role starting January for the rest of the academic year
  • Earn up to £520 per week as a Graduate English Teaching Assistant
  • School located in Liverpool – 10-minutes from the city centre
  • Support English and Literacy throughout the school – 11-16 years old
  • Monday-Friday, 8.30am – 3.45pm

This exciting secondary school are pleased to be able to offer an opportunity for an English graduate that has excelled throughout their studies to join their team as a Graduate English Teaching Assistant for the rest of the academic year.

This school has made huge leaps and bounds in progressing the offering to a largely underprivileged catchment of learners. The school strives to offer all pupils access to a wide curriculum and give them the best possible chance to succeed in their chosen pathways. As a Graduate English Teaching Assistant you will have the chance to offer learners a chance to stretch out beyond the confines of the curriculum.

As a Graduate English Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the English department to identify students who may be falling behind their targeted grades for a variety of reasons. You will work alongside the support team and teachers to create 1-1 and small group sessions that will allow students to grow and get bespoke support on certain topics that may be holding them back. Your role will have greater emphasis leading into exam periods, where work will intensify to ensure students are as prepared as they can be.

The school is also able to offer in-house teacher training opportunities from September 2025 for candidates who show great performance whilst in their Graduate English Teaching Assistant role and have ambitions of becoming a teacher in the future.
