Graduate EAL Teaching Assistant

Location – South Sheffield

Have you recently graduated from university and have a passion for supporting students through education?

Are you passionate about supporting international students and integrating new students from different linguistic backgrounds?

Perhaps you have had previous experience working with English as an Additional Language (EAL) students, and are keen to begin a long-term career in teaching?

As a Graduate EAL Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students for whom English is a second language, to develop their language skills and intergrate into the school community.

More information:

  • Over 100+ Languages spoken at the school
  • TEFL Experience desirable but not essential
  • Ability to speak a language fluently other than English
  • Driving Licence not required but desirable

Working closley with an experienced inclusion department, you will provide targeted support and intervention to help students overcome language barriers and achieve their academic  potential. From facilitating language acquisition to promoting cultural understanding, your role will be instrumental in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
