An inclusive and dynamic SEN School in Kensington is seeking a Graduate Behaviour Mentor to work closely with students, providing guidance and support to help them engage positively with their education. This is an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a rewarding role, perfect for someone considering a career in education, social work, or psychology.
About the Role:
- Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups, helping them develop positive behaviours for learning.
- Building strong, trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement and confidence.
- Collaborating with teachers and pastoral staff to implement behaviour support plans.
- Delivering interventions to improve emotional regulation, social skills, and self-esteem.
- Acting as a role model and mentor, fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field (or relevant experience).
- A strong interest in working with young people with behavioural or emotional challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting students in overcoming barriers to learning.
