Graduate Academic Mentor – Candidate Specification

• Degree (2:1 or higher preferred) in Maths, English, Science, Humanities, or a related subject.
• A strong academic background, with a passion for education and student achievement.
• Previous experience in tutoring, mentoring, or working with young people is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
• A proactive and resilient attitude, eager to develop pedagogical skills and gain hands-on classroom experience.

Graduate Academic Mentor – Job Specification

• Full-time, long-term Graduate Academic Mentor role
• Earn up to £520 per week.
• Provide tailored academic support to students, helping them build confidence in key subjects.
• Work with small groups and one-to-one sessions to reinforce learning and improve attainment.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and structured lessons across a variety of disciplines.
• Support students in exam preparation, study skills, and revision techniques.
• Encourage a growth mindset and positive learning habits among students.
• Sociable working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
