Finance Officer

Location: Leek

Duration: Permanent

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Rate: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum

Job Description

• Responsible for the timely processing of invoices, payments, and receipts
• Following up on overdue invoices and addressing any related issues as needed
• Utilizing systems like Tradex for invoice uploads
• In charge of overseeing credit card and employee expense management
• Reconciling bank and credit card statements
• Compiling monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management
• Assisting with budget and forecast preparation
• Preparing VAT returns and other necessary tax documentation
• Supporting compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards
• Identifying and implementing enhancements to the bookkeeping process to improve efficiency

About you: 

• AAT Qualified
• Experience using the Xero accounting system
• Understanding of ISO standards, including 9001 and 14001
• Able to communicate with suppliers and clients concerning invoices and quotes
• Experience using Excel for managing multiple spreadsheets and summaries
• Knowledge of generating financial status reports for the management team
